At Violet & Salt, just as much time and focus goes into our flavour combinations as it does into the design process and creation of your bespoke cakes and desserts. Our unique designs and bold use of colour is paired with well-developed recipes for an unparalleled taste and beautiful aesthetic.
We use only the finest ingredients, both, locally sourced and European imported ingredients for a balanced result that will leave your loved ones praising you for your exceptional taste.
Thoughtful design is at the heart of what we do and colour is our love language. We use vibrant elements with the addition of florals and luxe embellishments to make a show-stopping piece for your celebrations.
We work with you to bring your cake dreams to life. Your event is just as important to us. We want you to have the most enjoyable, fun and effortless experience during this process. Meet Alaina!
Alaina’s dessert studio, Violet & Salt is known for Alaina’s fresh and vibrant approach to cakes and all things sweet.
At Violet & Salt, just as much time and care goes into our flavour combinations as it does into the design and creation of each special creation. Alaina’s use of fine European ingredients and quality local produce gives a delicious well-balanced taste that leaves people wanting more.
Alaina’s sweet journey began from a young age where she fell in love with baking and painting. Later, developing a love for fine patisserie, Alaina worked on recipe testing and development. She slowly established herself in the industry, and married her two loves of baking and painting to create what Violet & Salt is today - edible art!
Not only does Alaina create mouthwatering desserts but she believes in passing on her knowledge and passion by uplifting other aspiring bakers and dessert enthusiasts through mentoring and teaching cake decorating classes + workshops.

Fascinated by the magic of design, Alaina creates a sense of whimsical beauty in edible form. Alaina believes artistic design comes from personal inspiration and a gentle, mindful process.
